CHRISTY’S PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
I’ve Been Where You Are
In 2012, I died of a heart attack caused by a rare condition called Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) and was revived by emergency department medical staff.I then endured an emergency cardiac procedure and had a very long recovery with multiple complications. As a single mom of two young children, I experienced firsthand the challenges of losing my independence and relying on family support. This personal experience and my decades of being an Occupational Therapist fuels my passion for helping others live independently in their homes, supported by practical solutions and compassionate care.
I have seen so many family members/caregivers (usually kids or siblings of the elder person) become so stressed and physically and mentally ill, that it significantly diminishes their quality of life. At that point, those caregivers often have long term illnesses and the damage has been done.
I understand the fear, anxiety, and frustration that comes with aging or caregiving—whether it’s managing your own needs or those of a loved one. I’m here to guide you through these challenges with empathy and expertise, helping you embrace a life of safety and comfort in your own home.
